Five, Four, Three, Two, One...

NYE  NYE
Happy New Year!

On New Year's Eve Kim, Merl, and I had our hearts set on having a great night out in Philly. While the three of us were running around getting last minute additions for our outfits, the boys were out grabbing everything we needed for dinner. People don't usually cook for me so I was more than happy they offered to make something delicious for us. They made Duck with a Balsamic Fig Reduction, Herb Risotto, and Chinese Long Beans. Of course I ended up getting some sort of nervous sick and could only intermittently pick at my food so as not to get actively sick. Such a shame. Every bit I was able to eat was amazing though. Luckily, I powered through whatever weird anxiety I was having and got ready for the night on the town.

I had been stressing out about whether or not a dress I ordered from ASOS would get to Kim's in time for NYE. It was light pink, flowy, and certainly girly. Since I wasn't sure if it would arrive in time or not I picked up a back up dress. Turns out the backless, lace, black, mini dress won. So while I had intended on wearing something loose and sweet, I ended up going a very different direction. I was trying to avoid going the little black dress route, but sometimes you just have to go with what makes the most sense. My custom harness from Merl was the perfect finishing touch. The back chains fell just below the scoop detail of the dress.

The whole outfit would not have come together without the helpful nudging of Kim, Merl, Terra, Sarah, and Melissa, who gracefully answered mass amount of emails from me pre-NYE. Not to mention that Kim and Merl were big helps with my hair and makeup the night of. I couldn't have done it without them! It definitely takes a village.

We went to Silk City and had an incredible night. It was such a good time cheers-ing one another and dancing 2010 away. Even though I don't get to see these girls very often it always feels like we're picking up right where we left off. I definitely found the right group to spent my New Year's with.

Kim and I kept the fun going when we got back to the apartment and baked off more of the cookies I had brought with me. The chocolate chip cookies and champagne were a great way to celebrate the beginning of a new year.

In case you considered asking Merl to make a custom harness similar to the one I have, I thought you should know how versatile it is. Even while I've had it for a few months we were still coming up with different ways to wear it when we were together. Here are the two other ways I wore it while in Philly: New in Town, and Into the New
How did you all celebrate your New Year's Eve? Hopefully you all had as good a night as I did!

Well, hello to another side of Miss Morgan! Aren't we a little sex kitten? Where have you been hiding those legs?!? If I had legs like those, I would wear a dress (a short one at that) every day!

All of you look gorgeous and I love the candid shots! I'm so happy that you found a such a great group of friends...looks like you had a lot of fun! I was in good company on NYE, too. My best friend was in town for the week, so her, my boyfriend, and I spent the day having a few drinks on the beach and then drank at an outdoor bar and played with enormous sparklers (seriously, they were huge) all night! Great start to 2011!

Now that I can see the whole post, I 100% stand by my verdict that you are SMOKIN' HOT! Also, you have maybe THE nicest legs I've ever seen. How you're not walking around town like this every day is beyond me (though the fact that you don't definitely adds to the wow-factor here!) Perfect NYE outfit! Stunner!

I like how you two are sneaking up on the cookies like little thieves. I don't think I could show so much restraint.
