The Thursday before New Year's I loaded up my car and drove off to Philly. After my last trip I was very eager to get back. Especially since this time around we would be celebrating the end of 2010 and the beginning of a brand spanking new 2011. As soon as I got to Kim's apartment we went through our New Year's Eve outfit options and settled on dresses for the following night. We grabbed a delicious late lunch then went back to the apartment to get ready for a casual night out in Philly.
We had planned on going to the belgian pub Monk's to meet up with a few other Philly area bloggers. After hearing that Merl's flight was further delayed we decided to stop by the Franklin Mortgage & Investment Company for a drink beforehand. That was a good choice. I told our waiter I liked tequila and he came back with the most amazing drink called "A Restraining Order". Kim went with the gin based "South Side".
Veronika from Tick Tock Vintage came to meet up with us for a few drinks. I'm so glad we were able to get together with her. It's always nice getting to meet the ladies behind their blogs and Veronika was particularly lovely, genuine, sweet, and even offered to bake us cupcakes! Merl's flight finally got in and she rolled into the bar with all her luggage in tow. We had a great pre-NYE night out, topped off with some unwinding back at Kim and Brian's apartment.
New Year's Eve morning! We woke up, ate a delicious homemade breakfast, and headed out to run some last minute errands before the big night. We spent the day walking around Philly, gabbing, and going in and out of different stores. Since I've already gone on and on about how I feel about this city, I'll spare you and just share some snapshots from the day.
Luckily we were able to pick up nearly everything we needed, except I decided I had to go tightless because of the cut of my dress...you'll see. We took turns for our afternoon photoshoots on the way back to the apartment. It was a relaxing day with the girls that lead into quite the wild night on the town.

Kim, Merl, and I had quite the little photo shoot together that afternoon. It was perfectly fitting that I spent my last day in 2010 with some of the best new additions to my life. I'll have the rest of the pictures up in the next post!
