A few weekends ago I went out to my parents. On Sunday I got together with a group of friends to celebrate and watch the St. Patrick's Day parade march through town. My friends recently started their own brewing company so they offered to host on Sunday morning. They brewed a couple of batches for the St. Patrick's Day tasting. I baked chocolate chip cookies in the morning that I brought over to the house in exchange for some of their tasty brew. I ended up liking a darker beer they had made the most. After we spent some time at the house we headed into town to watch the parade in the afternoon. Everyone was really getting into the St. Patrick's Day spirit.

We spent the entire day outside chatting and enjoying the parade. I stopped by my house in the afternoon to warm up (I threw on my sweater from Tree & Kimball Market) and I made myself a quick meal before sunset. I went back out and met up with friends just in time to see the sun going down. It's one of my favorite views. We went out to a delicious dinner afterwards. It was my first time seeing the parade in town and even though my friends have been brewing for well over a year, it was the first time I was able to try any of their beer. I'm glad I could celebrate with everyone and try to dig up a little of my own Irish heritage. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Don't forget to check out the One Year Giveaway! I wanted to remind everyone that the entries don't have to be an entire post dedicated to the giveaway, just a Morgan and Lua type of look with a mention of and link back to the giveaway will get you entered. Good luck!

Looks like it was fun! I like the tie, it's perfect for St. Patrick's Day.
I love your photos. They make me miss cool weather at the shore in winter...just lovely! I'm not much of a st.patty's day celebrator, but if this day was an option I would totally be a joiner!
I don't drink beer, but this batch that your friends brewed looks very tasty! This is such a nice way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I'm just too old to go to the pubs and drink all day with a bunch of strangers :)
