We Walk

Lua and I took a nice long walk this afternoon. After saying I wasn't brave enough to take pictures on the streets of New York in Mondays post, I decided I'd give it a try today. This is actually what I wore on my road trip to PA this Saturday. I didn't get any pictures then so I figured I'd take advantage of the gorgeous weather today and go for a long photo opportunity seeking walk after work.
I came across this side street with furniture left out for the garbage man, which is actually great for me because whatever pictures I take I have to find somewhere to prop my camera. I haven't taught Lua how to take pictures yet, I'm working on it. Opposable thumbs and all.
I also want to say, you can't make me. You can't make me stop wearing my suede boots when it's hot out. They're comfortable, easy to walk to in, and I just can't stop wearing them. So take that world.
After the side street we headed up to the park so Lua could prance among the flowers. She was more interested in the squirrels though. I forget how big Lua seems to other people until I see pictures of her next to me. People always say things to me about her size when I walk her. Things like, "Woah, that's a big one" and "Ohh hell no" (seriously I heard this one today).
Remember the fishtail braid? Elementary school anyone? That's how I braided my hair, I didn't take a good picture of it, but I thought it was important enough to note. When I was little the fishtail braid was my fancy hairstyle. I would beg my mom to do it and even wake up early for the special braid. Oh youth.

Outtake:
Look at Lua dodging that pot hole. Agility. She wasn't having any of that.
Zara Headband, H & M Top, Anthropologie Shorts, Madewell Bag
Vintage Frye Boots from Old Baltimore Vintage
Necklace from Kahili Creations (Birthday gift), Coral Earrings from Travels
Lua's Olive Green leash by Hamilton Products from The Big Bad Woof

In conclusion this is a text I got from Kev, tonight:
Lady Gaga on Idol. My two favorite things ever. It's like snowboarding on Nutella!

Enjoy your Cinco de Mayo!
