Kevin's Ginger Root Tea.

Kevin's Ginger Root Tea
With Honey and Lemon
Kev and I have been talking about this tea for a while. For one reason or another we never took the time to make it. Now I know that we've been missing out.
Kev got a little sick this weekend. He is now more sick this week. When he went to the doctor she actually said to him, "Your throat looks nasty." I won't get into details, because it's just plain disgusting. The long of the short is that Kev's had a fever and sore throat for the last few days. He decided to take himself to Whole Foods and buy the ingredients to make this tea. It is sweet and a little pepped up from the ginger.

Here's the recipe part, by Kev:
Start by boiling 4 cups of water.
Peel a 2 inch piece of ginger and drop into the water.
Let the ginger boil in the water for 15-20 minutes.
Pour the water through a strainer.
Add lemon and honey to taste, and enjoy!

Ginger is great for any sort of cold, nausea, sort throat, and the chills.
Local honey is good for you too. It's full of antioxidants and can even assist in allergy relief.
And Lemon is chock-full of Vitamin C.
In conclusion, Kev is in New York this weekend. And his throat still looks nasty. But he says the tea has been a big help. I made a fridge full (not the whole fridge, but alot ok) for him today and took a couple pictures. Kev's mom gave me this delicious comb in honey for Christmas. For me, that is a great gift. I love honey, yum. It happens to be local to where Kev lives, so even better to get him well. I think the little peeled ginger lump looks so cute resting on the honey jar, aw. haha.

Off to watch Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution and drink some tea for the rest of the night!
Has anyone been watching this? I just want to give Jamie a big hug.

Have a great weekend!
